Paradise...

Loving life here in Bali. Got back in the water today after a bad motor bike accident the other day so I feel very good. I have been hanging out with 3 Americans who are going to get me a bartending job in New Zealand where they work and I will probably live with them for about 3 months. So great things ahead... weather here is perfect and waves are unreal. I can look left or right from my room and see some of the best waves in the world. We walked about a mile last night to get to a party at another beach and after reef cuts and a few Bintangs later finally made it and had a great time! The walk back was a little rough but worth every mosquito bite along the way. haven’t really gone to town yet to party because it is supposed "bombing season" and with a rumored bomb here and there it just isn’t worth it but mom don’t worry I am about a half hour away from kuta beach. Went to jimabron yesterday and ate fresh seafood that was brought in right in front of us. We had a good sized red snapper and tuna steak and a huge squid for about 13 dollars that could have fed the whole village. I could probably live here for about 2 years on the savings I have which isn’t that bad of an idea.

Nick - I hope you are okay after the bike accident and don't have too many injuries! I've read all the entries & it sounds like an unbelievable experience! You need to stay safe. Emilie looks at your pictures & grin - I think she just likes to give you a hard time!!! Thought of you this past week while in SC - a lot of surfers at the beach we were staying. It's good to know that you live life on the edge. But, be careful though. Those pictures of your room are fricken paradise. Nick told me that you called him the other day and he was so excited. He's probably told me like 4 times. BUt. hope you're having fun. miss you.

well bud i knew u were not a good bike rider,wait till i tell neil hes going to cry with laughter as my brother did.sounds like things r really cheap in bali and its great to hear that you have met some people to travel with and stay with in new zealand.sounds like a lot of people r missing you around da world,as they r here in south africa.had an awesome session in da water yesterday with a 4 foot swell running and believe me it was perfect conditions.were off to the dam(lake)to spend 3 nights there with family and friends.those photots that alec took came absolutely awesome,especially with you and kelly on da tube.well keep in touch and enjoy yourself and keep well.(stay off da bloody motorbikes)shot from all of us at e-carsales and da walter-girouts
